House Rules

At Nishijin Fujita, we are committed to managing the facility in a way that ensures a comfortable stay for our guests.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation to follow the rules and enjoy your stay and sightseeing in Kyoto.

Precautions Regarding the Use of Historical Buildings

  • Take off your shoes at the entrance when entering the building.
  • To maintain the integrity of our tatami mats, please refrain from behaviors that could potentially damage them. Behavior to avoid includes placing or dragging suitcases over them and wearing slippers while moving around.
  • The building partially uses earthen walls. Don’t lean against these walls, as they are easily damaged and they can stain clothing.
  • We ask you to carefully handle the furniture and equipment in the building and the rooms.
  • In the event of any damage (including tobacco or other odors) that differs from the condition of the room prior to use, reasonable compensation will be charged.

Prohibitions and Restrictions

  • For smokers, a designated smoking area is available. Please let us know about the use when you make the reservation or when you arrive.
  • Parties and similar activities are not allowed as they may disturb the neighborhood.
  • Pets are not allowed in the building because they can cause damage.
  • Only people with reservations may enter the building.

Manners

  • Please keep to the check-in and check-out times.
  • Especially after 9:00 p.m, we kindly ask you to refrain from making excessive noise or speaking loudly.
  • Please refrain from entering nearby facilities, such as schools, or taking photographs there, as this is strictly prohibited.
  • Please classify trash into the following categories: combustible, non-combustible, and recyclable. Examples of recyclable trash include cans, plastic bottles, and glass bins.
  • When you cook, please use the kitchen fan to prevent odors from spreading throughout the rooms.
  • To prevent paper clogging, use only the provided toilet paper for flushing the toilet.
  • If we receive complaints from the neighborhood about noise during your stay, we may ask you to pay a compensation fee.

Security

  • When you leave the room, please turn off all of the electrical appliances such as lights and/or air-conditioners.
  • When you leave the room, be sure to lock the door and close the window, for security reasons.
  • If you lose your room key, we will ask you to pay a compensation fee.
  • The facility or the operating company is not responsible for personal injury or for theft, loss, or loss of personal belongings or valuables.

Please send your payment amount to the bank account that will be specified before your stay.
We accept credit cards. The available credit cards are as follows:
For payment via credit card, we kindly request that the payment be made at the time of your arrival.
